April 21 –  The Empty Tomb

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.  Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.  Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,  as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.  Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.  (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)  Then the disciples went back to where they were staying. – John 20 1-10

April 27 – CADA Easter Gathering (5PM -11PM)

Come and join us to celebrate the risen Christ. Our theme this year is “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” - 1 Peter 1:3.  We will meet at Mahany Community Center (3500 Marais Ave, Royal Oak MI 48083). We will have the Lord’s Day celebration followed by dinner and fellowship.  Please sign up for the food you are bringing (if you haven’t done so) at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c4aa5a822a75-cada. PRAYER INTENTION FOR THE MONTH

  • For this year Lenten and Easter may God abundant grace and mercy fill our hearts.
  • For continued growth in our faith and for bearing fruits
  • For our call to community life, may we hear it loud and clear
  • For our family and friends who are sick, may God healing hand touch them at this time.
  • For protection of the unborn and end of abortion

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” - Isaiah 53:5-6 NIV
